Product Questions

How long does charging take?
A full charge typically takes 60 minutes or less via USB-C.

How long does the battery last?
Battery life depends on how frequently the grinder is used, but a full charge is designed to provide extended everyday use before recharging is needed.

Do the grinders have a light?
Yes. A built-in LED light activates while grinding, helping you see where the seasoning is being added.

How much does each grinder hold?
Each grinder has a capacity of approximately 70 ml.

What materials are used?
Our current grinders have a brushed stainless steel finish, ABS components, clear acrylic chambers and a ceramic grinding mechanism.

Can I buy a single grinder instead of a set?
Yes. We offer both the USB-C rechargeable grinder set and a single USB-C rechargeable grinder.

Does the grinder set include a rest tray?
Yes. The USB-C grinder set includes a clear acrylic rest tray designed to hold both grinders and catch loose salt or pepper.

Using your USB-C grinder

Is it rechargeable, or does it take AA batteries?
It's USB-C rechargeable, with a built-in 500 mAh lithium-ion polymer battery in each grinder. Our previous model used AA batteries, which is why some older reviews mention them.

Is a wall adapter included?
No. Both the Set and Single include one USB-A to USB-C charging cable per box. The Set's cable is shared between its two grinders. A compatible USB wall adapter is not included.

What can I put in the grinder?
Dry salt crystals, whole peppercorns and suitable dried spices. Avoid wet or moist salt.

My grinder has stopped grinding. What should I check?
Make sure the chamber is locked, loosen the grind-adjustment knob slightly, and check the battery is charged. The grinder won't operate while plugged in. If the problem persists, contact support@latentepicure.com.

Can I use the grinder while it's charging?
No. Unplug it before operating.

How do I adjust the grind?
Turn the adjustment knob underneath: right for finer, left for coarser. Avoid overtightening.

How do I clean the grinder?
Wipe it clean without immersing it in water. The grinder is not dishwasher-safe. Follow the maintenance instructions in the USB-C manual.

Orders, Warranty & Support

How long is the warranty?
Our current USB-C rechargeable grinders include a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase. Our legacy AA battery-operated grinders carried a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. If you have an older AA model and need support, please contact us and we’ll see what options are available.

What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. It does not cover accidental damage, misuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by use contrary to the product instructions.
